A 3-hour yoga workshop with a balance of meditation, pranayama, history and mythology, vinyasa flow, relaxation and chanting.
This vinyasa yoga workshop will allow you to let go, to let your emotions flow, open your hearts and break free of what keeps you from joy, peace and unconditional love.
The pigeon or the "dove" is the messenger of peace and love. When doves are with us we can feel peace, purity and devotion.
Through the combined flow of movement and breath we will explore together all the variations of the pigeon pose, from the lying pigeon to the sitting, from the standing to the dying, twisting ...and flying ... all the way to the royal pigeon (eka pada raja kapotasana).
These asanas can help to keep you supple and active beyond your age. Opening your hips and your heart can improve your posture and relieve tension in the lower back.
The benefits are not only physical. Many of us hold grief, fears, and control issues in our hips. To feel lighter, release resentments, or unlock stuck thought patterns that cause anxiety, try adding pigeon pose to your practice ! :-)
