YOGA and GONG BATH in the magical Ibiza ! Unwind, breathe, ... work on your powers of self healing. 7-14 July 2018
“If we accept that sound is vibration and we know that vibration touches every part of our physical being, then we understand that sound is heard not only through our ears but through every cell in our bodies." Mitchell Gaynor, M.D. Oncologist and Clinical Professor of Medicine. Author of “The Healing Power of Sound: Recovery from Life-Threatening Illness using Sound, Voice, and Music.”
The GONG BATH with Swann: sound healer, sonologist, vibrapuncture.
Swann will work with several symphonic and planet gongs as well as a large choice of Himalayan bowls (from Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan, India), therapeutic tuning-forks and many other sacred shamanic instruments.
Gong Baths and Sound Massages bring an intense sense of wellbeing, restabilize the balance of energies, and regenerate the body’s natural defenses.
The sound vibrations emitted by the gongs and the bowls send signals that are interpreted at the biological, energetic and emotional levels, directing the cells to develop in a homeostatic rather than unbalanced manner.
Programme: Opening Gong Bath - Saturday evening Water Gong Bath - Tuesday afternoon Sound Yoga - Thursday afternoon Closing Gong Bath - Friday evening
The YOGA PROGRAMME
A whole week for you to develop awareness of your chakra system through the powerful teachings of yoga. The chakra system is at the core of yoga practice with the intention to bring more harmony to your body, your mind and your soul. The chakras (Sanskrit for wheels) first appeared in the ancient Hindu texts, commonly known as the Vedas, and are a journey from your root to your connection with the Divine.
During our stay in Ibiza, I will guide you through the opening and balancing of each of your chakras with the help of specific yoga poses, meditation and mantras. Every morning before breakfast we will have a two and a half-hour Vinyasa yoga flow practice focusing on a specific chakra, starting from the Root Chakra (Muladhara) to the Crown Chakra (Sahasrara). The yoga practice will also include meditation, pranayama, yoga nidra and chanting.
Welcome home !
Welcome to the ZEN & SOUNDS IBIZA RETREAT CENTER, ideal place to share, sheltered from every day hum-drum, and practice our activities in the convivial, calm atmosphere of the beautiful nature haven of Ibiza.
Ideally located in the rural countryside of Northern Ibiza, the centre welcomes you for pure moments of out-of-time relaxation and release.
Come and unwind, breathe, and work on your powers of self-healing, during 6 full days and 7 nights, disconnected from all sources of stress, in the heart of Mediterranean nature…
Through regenerating gong baths (deep sound meditation with symphonic gongs), individual sound massages with Himalayan therapeutic bowls, healing mantra singing workshop, water gong bath, and a daily yoga practice, this retreat will stimulate your natural immune system, bring you well-being and deep relaxation, re-dynamise your body, and soothe your mind.
Of contemporary design, the property is composed of three different houses, making it the ideal choice for a large group, wishing to enjoy lots of space. A 7 double room villa with twin beds, that can be occupied either by 2 single people or by a couple. Swimming pool, massage room, chill-out areas, terraces, .... The gong temple (indoor room) or the yoga shala (outdoor area) will be our practice areas, giving us the possibility to choose depending on the weather, the time and the type of practice.
SUP YOGA and other activities
Experience the Stand Up Paddle Yoga (SUP): the art practicing yoga while standing up into a surfing paddle. We will combine hatha and vinyasa yoga with surfing, working on strength and flexibility which are required to maintain the balance and the poses on fluid water. We will also be moving through a sequence of yoga postures, or asana, while standing on a paddle board.
Ibiza is one of the most famous islands in the world! It is a purely Mediterranean island on the east of the Spanish Peninsula. Its 572 km2 offer a whole world of diversity to enjoy the sun, the beach, its culture and its landscape. The capital, Eivissa, is full of narrow streets and beautiful buildings, such as the fortification, the Castle and the Cathedral, and the old town (Dalt Vila) has been declared a World Heritage Site. Dalt Vila’s historic centre is today an outdoor museum, with plenty of handicrafts shops, art galleries and restaurants all along this area. With 18km of sandy beaches and pristine blue waters, the island’s coastline is amazing to practice water sports or to hike on its coastal paths. Many beaches, like Cala Comte, are located in incomparable natural areas where watching the sunset from has become a local must-do.
